Onward, Ever Onward!

Hey all!

We're back at it again for another bomb week in the Monica ward! In fact, it's been the best week of my time here. No- the best week ever!

Our buddy Roy got baptized today! I don't remember if I mentioned this before, but he's actually friends with and goes to school with our last recent convert, Adrian! I hope they'll be able to help each other stay active and grow their love for the gospel :)

Otherwise, we did a lot of finding this week. And we found a lot of cool people! From the beginning of the week when we met our new friend Penny out in Lamont, to Sunday night when we handed out a bunch of copies of the Book of Mormon right by the church, we got to meet so many new people. It's a cool thing, getting to talk about the gospel with all the wonderful people in this area. They're so great.

On one street we went down, it seemed like everybody had heard about the church... From the wrong people. They were all so grumpy with us. That's okay though, we just pressed on and met some really neat people just afterwards! One of them, John, was too tired and busy from working a long time at work and fixing his truck to talk very much with us, but he still gave us some Gatorade and told us if we were in the neighborhood we could stop by and talk with him.

We also met a really awesome couple! They were just hanging out in their front yard in the evening and we spent some time talking to them about the Restoration. They really want to know about what God wants to tell them, and they're willing to do whatever they need to so that they can find out the truth. The husband mostly only spoke Spanish, but he told us how happy and proud he was to see young men like us out preaching the word instead of getting in trouble. That's one of my absolute favorite things to be told. I'm grateful to bring a little bit more hope into people's lives.

We've been talking to everyone this week. Seriously everyone. It's hard, but it's really cool- God has prepared so many people to receive even just a little bit of the gospel. Even if we just get to give out a lot of copies of the Book of Mormon, I'm happy to be able to plant that very important seed. It's our job to invite, and everyone out there in our area are the people we're supposed to invite. This work changes lives! I saw that in the smile of Roy's father as he baptized and confirmed him. It's a miracle, really.

Thanks for all your support!
